DKW-350 with a German postilion

   Dear Visitors,

We have been making small vignette with my friend Béla for a few months.

My task was the building and the painting of the motorbike. Béla will making and painting a figure from The Body in next mounths.
I have built the motorbike from Tamiya for that I have used Aber photoechted parts.
After assembling the motor's main parts it had to be filled and polished on a few joining  points. The next step was the attaching of several pars of the upgrade kit. I haven't used the spokes, only the nave of those.
I replaced the spoks with thin wires. The spoke of upgrde kit didn't go into the rim of the wheels, unless I rub off the convex part of  the rim. But this wouldn't be realistic. I cut out the nave and chain protector from the plastic rear wheel's rack and I replacedwith thin metal sheet. I deepened the connection of the mudguard and the tire with tapering scalpel. The rear seat rack was a plastic block. I milled it out by original pictures, so the mudguard and the rack are differentiate from together.

I use Gunze acrylic colors for painting after Tamyia black priming. I mixed the yellow's right tone by using Sandy and Dark Yellow. I washed up the surface  with VanDyck Brown. I let the motorbike to dry for a long time , after this I made wearing and rusty spotting. The next phase was the fixing of the decales. After t I made the weathering (muddy marks etc.), for this I used light and dark pigments with enamel. Following this I had been waiting for a week to let the enamel dry. And finally I have painted a thin layer of flat varnish with airbrush.

Thanks for your lookings !

Panther Radio Operator

The next member of the crew is the radio operator. This is a Tamiya figure (i use it two times, cause i love this pose), with Alpine head, Dragon PE, and converted arms, and an self sculpted glove. He got a cigarette into his left hand. This kind of cigarette holding is tipical in winter time ;)

And all of them...

But, what the hell are they watching...?

Panther Driver

Here is the driver figure. It's from the Warriors WA35481 set. I changed the head for Hornet one. The legs came from Miniart 35021, with some converting, cause i have to fit into the hatch.

The radio operator is on the bench...

I bought no.35132 set, but at this moment i cant decide , will i use the other figure, or not ... its so nice!?

Next time i will introduce the driver...

Fw-190 F8

Hi fellow modellers!

My next project is not a tank or vehicle, as you can see it's a Fw-190 F8 from Tamiya in 1:48 scale. Almost OOTB, i just use a KP Tinyland Cockpit Set and HAD decals.

Here you can read about the "Black 2", which fought over Hungary in 1945!

To build the model was so easy, i just relized only one problem with the engine deck.
The paintwork will be so simple, i plan to make the standard camo RLM74/75/76...with whitewash.

Last days i put on the decals and the plain has get the flat clear.

BIWA Panther - revision

After consulting expert modellers, I had to make some update on the Panther. The most important changes are the spare tracks on the turret. I leave the guide horns, just on the top ones made some cheat, for the correct position. The right air intake got the blinds, and i drop on some schürzen.
Thanks again the help, lads!

BIWA Panther - building done!

Here is my latest work, a BIWA Panther G late, which was belong to the I./Pz.Rgt. 24, during the battles in February 1945, in Hungary. I have to say thanks to Péter Barnaky and Gergő Szaszkó for the informations.
I got the inspiration to make this model from Canfora's Panther book. Gunnar Jansson's panther was the master of mine, so a big thanks goes to him, and to Roger Hurkmans for his help.
The model is the old Tamiya late Panther G, upgraded with Voyager PEs, Aber's barrel w muzzle brake, Friul tracks, Dragon Bosch light and some home-made things (special thanks to Aron for the exhausts and to Demir Ali for the periscopes).
I plan to make a little vignetta with some figures, but the time will show :)

Please welcome the photos,
Cheers, Laszlo
